The challenge

Where things stood

A facilities management provider was responsible for a portfolio of buildings with fire risk assessments that were inconsistent, out of date or missing. They needed a single, reliable picture of fire risk across the estate, a defensible record for each building and a sensible order in which to spend a limited remedial budget.

What we did

Our approach

We assessed each building to a consistent standard and produced clear, practical fire risk assessments that named the actions, the priority and the responsible person. Rather than handing over a stack of separate reports, we gave the client a portfolio-wide view so they could see where the real risks sat and direct their budget to the things that mattered most first.

Where buildings raised more complex questions, our in-house fire engineering capability meant we could advise properly instead of passing the problem on.

The outcome

What it changed

The client gained a current, consistent fire risk assessment for every building, a prioritised remedial plan across the portfolio and the evidence to show their duties under the Fire Safety Order were being met.
