01

Who we are

This privacy policy explains how AL23 Safety collects, uses and protects the personal information you give us and sets out your rights under data protection law.

For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, the data controller is AL23 Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15834366, with its registered office at First Floor, Swan Buildings, 20 Swan Street, Manchester, M4 5JW.

If you have any questions about this policy or about how we handle your information, you can reach us at info@al23safety.com or on +44 161 399 2523.

02

Information we collect

We only collect information we need to respond to you and to deliver our services. This may include:

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • Your company or organisation and your role, where you share it.
  • The content of your enquiry or any message you send us.
  • Records of our correspondence and the services we provide to you.
  • Limited technical information collected automatically when you use the website, such as your browser type and pages visited.

We do not ask for special category data (such as health information) through this website. Please do not send us sensitive personal information unless we have specifically asked for it as part of a piece of work.

03

How we collect it

We collect personal information when you:

  • Complete a contact or call back form on this website.
  • Email, call or message us, including by WhatsApp.
  • Engage us to carry out work or ask us for a quote.
  • Sign up for or take one of our training courses.

Some technical information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.

04

How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and provide the information or advice you have asked for.
  • Deliver the services or training you have engaged us for and manage that relationship.
  • Keep proper records and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Improve our website and services.

We rely on the following lawful bases for processing your information:

  • Consent, where you have asked us to contact you or provided your details through a form. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Contract, where we need to process your information to provide a service you have engaged us for.
  • Legitimate interests, to run and improve our business in a way you would reasonably expect, where this does not override your rights.
  • Legal obligation, where we are required to keep records or share information to comply with the law.

We will not use your details for marketing without your consent and we will never sell your information.

05

Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share it where it is necessary to deliver our services or to meet a legal obligation, for example with:

  • Trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as IT, hosting and email providers.
  • Accrediting and awarding bodies, where this is needed to issue a training certificate.
  • Professional advisers, regulators or authorities where we are required to do so by law.

Where we use providers who process information on our behalf, we put appropriate contracts in place so your information is only used as instructed and kept secure.

06

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy or for as long as the law requires. Enquiries that do not become work are kept for a limited period and then deleted. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept for longer, in line with our professional, contractual and legal obligations.

07

Your rights

Under data protection law you have the right to:

  • Be told how your information is used, as set out in this policy.
  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances.
  • Object to or ask us to restrict how we use your information.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
  • Ask us to transfer your information to another provider, where this applies.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@al23safety.com. We will respond within the time limits set by law, normally within one month.

08

You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site data in your browser, and you can also control cookies through your browser settings.

09

How we keep it secure

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure but we work to protect your information and to limit access to those who need it.

10

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date so please check back from time to time.
